Manufacturer: Dongguan Yunze Silicone Products Co., Ltd. — industrial silicone & rubber components, custom tooling, RoHS / REACH / FDA grades.
Tapered silicone plugs mask threaded holes, bores and studs during powder coating, e-coating, anodising, painting and plating. Silicone is the usual choice because it releases cleanly after the curing oven and tolerates repeated thermal cycling without hardening or leaving residue.
Hole or thread size. Give the nominal thread or bore diameter, plus the depth to be masked. Tapered plugs are sized by the range of diameters they seal, so state the minimum and maximum.
Temperature. Standard silicone plugs handle oven cycles around +200°C to +250°C. State the peak cure temperature and dwell time so the correct compound can be selected.
Chemical exposure. Powder coating, e-coat chemistry, pretreatment and stripping agents all affect compound choice.
Puller or plain. Plugs are supplied plain, with a pull-tab or with a hollow handle for fast removal on the line. High-volume lines usually standardise on a puller design to cut operator time.
Reuse. Reusable plugs are common; state how many cycles are expected so hardness and wall thickness can be set for durability.
Provide a size list keyed to the drawing balloon numbers. Kitting by part number reduces line-side errors more than bulk supply, particularly where ten or more sizes are used on one assembly.
